Why We Advocacy · Comparison

Powell or We Advocacy? Beyond Microsoft 365.

Powell builds its intranet at the heart of Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Teams. We Advocacy works with Microsoft 365 as well as Google Workspace, and carries your messages to employees who have no access to them. Here is how to choose.

Comparison based on public information available in October 2026. Each vendor's features and terms change: check them with the vendor.
Two approaches

An intranet inside Microsoft 365, or communication that reaches beyond it.

Intranet for Microsoft 365

Powell

Built on SharePoint and integrated with Teams
Designed for organisations entirely on Microsoft
Relies on each employee's Microsoft 365 licence
A project often run with an integrator
Internal communication platform

We Advocacy

Compatible with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
Also reaches employees with no licence and no email address
Every channel from a single send: email, intranet, mobile, pop-up, SMS
Go live in a few weeks, with no integrator
Questions to ask

What to compare, beyond the demo.

Ask every vendor these questions. They often reveal who is left outside the intranet.

To ask every vendorWe Advocacy's answer
How many of your employees do not have a Microsoft 365 licence?
With We Advocacy, that is not an obstacle: the mobile app opens with a code received by SMS.
What is the total cost over three years, including licences, integrator and upgrades?
An all-inclusive annual subscription and fixed set-up fees, known from the quote. No integrator to pay for.
How do you reach employees without an email address?
A mobile app with sign-in by a code received by SMS, and SMS for emergencies.
Can a message be displayed on the workstation, on top of other windows?
Yes, with the Windows pop-up deployed by your IT department, with read receipts.
How long between signing and going live?
A few weeks: 8 weeks at one of our clients, migration included.
Who develops the platform day to day?
Your communication teams, with no technical skills or service provider.
Where is the data hosted, and what happens to it at the end of the contract?
In Europe. At the end of the contract, your data is returned to you and then deleted, with a certificate of destruction.
In full transparency

Make an informed choice.

We would rather tell you now: each solution has its sweet spot.

Powell will probably suit you better if…

•Your whole organisation works in Microsoft 365 and Teams
•Every employee has a licence and a workstation
•You want an intranet that lives entirely in SharePoint

We Advocacy will suit you better if…

•Some of your teams have neither a Microsoft licence nor email
•You use Google Workspace, or both environments
•You want to reach workstations by pop-up and the frontline by SMS
•You want a solution that rolls out without an integrator
Your project

Complement or replace: your choice.

Some clients keep their intranet on SharePoint and add our channels. Others prefer a single platform.

Keeping your SharePoint intranet?

The Broadcast plan promotes its content by pop-up, email, notification and SMS, without migrating anything.

Want a single platform?

The Platform plan brings together intranet, mobile app and every channel, migration included.

Frequently asked questions

Questions from Microsoft 365 clients.

Does We Advocacy work with Microsoft 365?

Yes: SSO sign-in with Entra ID, directory synchronisation, delivery in Outlook and integration with SharePoint. Your employees have nothing new to learn.

Can we publish in Teams?

No, We Advocacy does not publish in Teams. Your news reaches your employees by email, intranet, pop-up, mobile notification and SMS, including those without a Microsoft 365 licence who therefore have no access to Teams.

Does every employee need a Microsoft licence?

No. Employees without a licence access communications through the mobile app, with a code received by SMS.

How can we compare costs fairly?

By comparing the total cost over three years: licences, integrator, upgrades and internal time. We can do this exercise with you from your current invoices.
