“I don’t know” is a useful answer: it is part of the assessment.

75%
Those with access to at least one of your channels (email, intranet, app…). Employees with no email address or intranet access are often left out.
Method and calculation assumptions
  • Tools: sum of the midpoints of the selected annual ranges (“more than €150k” counted as €200k). A newsletter, mobile app or survey tool included in the intranet adds no cost and no extra supplier.
  • Team: share of time × average fully loaded cost (market assumptions): €65,000 for the internal comms manager, €18,000 per apprentice or intern, €50,000 for other contributors. Relays’ time is added, valued at €40/h.
  • IT: maintenance days per month × 12 × €600.
  • Employees informed: headcount × reach × read rate. If the rate is unknown, a cautious 30% is used.
  • “Of every €100 invested”: share of the budget that reaches an employee who reads (reach × read rate). The rest counts as budget with no effect.
  • Return score out of 100: cost per employee who reads (40 pts, full score below €250/year, zero above €1,500), reach (20), reading (20), tracking (20). Savings per lever are orders of magnitude, refined during the review session.
  • Verdict: profitable from 70, to optimise from 50 to 69, low return from 30 to 49, at risk below 30.
Frequently asked questions

Before you start.

How long does the assessment take?

About 3 minutes. The questionnaire is pre-filled with the example of a 1,500-employee company: simply replace the values with your own. The results update with every answer.

Do I need to sign up to see the result?

No. The score, verdict, current state and recommendations appear immediately, with no sign-up. Your email is only requested if you want to receive the full audit report.

Are my answers stored?

No, the calculation runs in your browser. Your answers are only sent to us if you request the full audit report.

How is the budget calculated?

Licences, communication team time, manager relays’ time, suppliers and IT time are valued from your answers and average market costs. Details are in “Method and calculation assumptions”.

What does the full audit report contain?

Your current state, investment breakdown, return verdict and costed recommendations, presented so you can share them with your management. It is followed by a 30-minute review session with a We Advocacy expert.
